OVERCOOKED

A quick clarification: when I say Overcooked, I am referring mainly to Overcooked: All You Can Eat, and to the series as a whole. If I am referring to an individual game I will say either Overcooked 1 or Overcooked 2.

I love Overcooked. It's the kind of game I can play both casually and seriously, and have a great time both ways! It can be incredibly chaotic or a tightly run operation and it entirely depends on the people you play it with and how you decide to play. With All You Can Eat, there is so much content for Overcooked that I haven't even played all of it yet! Since my switch controllers have been drifting and generally my switch is getting harder to use at the moment (and I have been very busy with various projects, work and coursework) I haven't played as much recently. But I miss that game... I finished both Overcooked 1 and 2 on two player mode with family and got a couple of four stars and haven't gotten too much into the expansions.

But, what do I want to talk about in terms of Overcooked? Well, the main points I want to get into are the level design and potentially the dishes that need to be made. The former I've thought about a lot more, but I'm interested in looking into how the dishes play into the level design and the gameplay! I will also share some of my experiences playing the game (this game is so much fun to play and I have a LOT to say). Back when I was in my main Overcooked hyperfixation I made a spreadsheet with all the levels ranked from best to worst, so I have a base of my opinions back then and maybe I could do some comparisons too? Replay the game and see if my thoughts have changed, we'll see.

I also have a major dilemma before I start, do I begin with Overcooked 1 or 2? Overcooked 1 is the logical starting point, but I much prefer Overcooked 2, the throwing mechanic changes the game and makes it so much better! Plus, Overcooked 2 is the game I started with! I got All You Can Eat after I got really into the second game, so I could start there, with the order I played it in. Much to ponder before I begin...
